Sampling; Wonder

In the wonder workshop we were asked to put out our samples in groups that we thought suited each other, even if they weren’t from the same project. I looked mainly at similar colours and putting them together.

I put this group together because of all the eathy colours.

I then put this group together because of the mixture of light subtle greys and whites with the dak green.

Sampling: Printworkshop

I created these samples by dipping the silks and wools in dyes, but tied string around parts f them so that, that part would stay whit to give a tie died effect. I am happy with all the outcomes especially the orange one as that most relates to my project. Although the blue one and the black one look very effective, the colour do not really relate to my project.

Sampling: Printworkshop

For my new project I have decided to do summer and winter as my theme, I am mainly focusing on flowers for this project and have chosen print for my workshop. Underneath are some of the designs I came up with to use for my screen.

These were what I considered the strongest two designs as I like both the colours and the images.  I have tried in all of the designs to keep to my theme, in each one I have drawn a flower associated with the summer and one associated with the winter.
