I created this style of print using two separate screens, the first was the statue (grey in and pigment) the second was the trees (green ink and pigment). As I wanted to create the impression that the statue was behind the trees. I then overlapped the trees again but slightly off to give the two shades of green.
In this print I used brown fabric instead of white as I wanted the colours to be less bold and more subtle, I also wanted it to be an earthy colour as it relates to my topic. Although the colours didn’t stand out as much as I had intended I did like the faint effect, I then used gold foil over the top of the tree to make it stand out and bring it to life.
On this print I have used puff, I decided to use this on a very thin fabric so that there was a big contrast.
These are from my second screen, on this screen I had the image and the outline separate so that I could use a different colour for the outline, as I wanted to make the image bold but also detailed.
Here I use flocking and foiling, however I hasn’t worked very well as I think I needed to put more glue through the screen.
